Aston Wood are Ingwood Winners in inaugural cup

Aston Wood ladies were victorious yesterday winning the inaugural match with Ingestre Ladies 4 – 0.

Some of the Aston Wood ladies were using their vouchers at Ingestre earlier in the year and were approached by Gill from Ingestre who thought they looked like good fun, so she challenged them to a friendly match home and away. It was a very friendly match, but with a trophy to win the stakes were high. Was it home advantage? We will have to see when we play the rematch at Ingestre in the spring. Hopefully the start of a long term relationship. Well done to the team who played, ably captained by Karen Morgan.
