The big day finally came for our new captains Tom & Theresa’s The Captains’ Drive-in.

The weather held up and the course was in what can only be described as “unbelievable” condition, “the best yet” some members said afterwards. On behalf of myself and the captains, we would personally like to thank John and his team for the hard work going into presenting the course the way it is… Keep up the very good work.

So it’s tradition for the new captains to dress up for the occasion and as we can see Theresa came as Super Women and Tom came as the established golfer. Theresa teed off first and hit a very good shot but unfortunately with a bad bounce went into the pond, Tom then stepped up to the Tee and set a NEW record for the distance his ball travelled.

A great day was had by all and I would like to thank all the members for supporting the captains on this day and we wish them every bit of success this year.

Congratulations to Gary Moore who won the competition scoring 42 points, having just pipped Simon Harris on the back 9 score.
